A digital tale

[Kynelongtail]

This all started a long time ago. (Think a bit after tamers season) People knew about the Digital world, and travel back and forth between the worlds was accessible to those with partners or knew where the portals were. Several years passed and the digital world became more and more known and accessible, especially after the formation of the DEC. So nowadays digimon are basically everywhere, and are treated equally as humans. Heck, some even hold jobs. This isn’t common, but not surprising when it does happen. Also, many people have partners, mainly because they have found them after the worlds merged, but more are finding them every day.

Now, there are mainly civil Digimon, but there are still wild ones, and that’s why the Digital Enforcement Corporation, or DEC, formed. They are a worldwide private organization that takes care of any digital problems that come up. They are funded by the governments around the world, so they are very big and very powerful. They recruit tamers and their partners and have them help take care of threats of the digital kind (wild ones and anything else necessary). On occasion they have also recruited the help of some partner-less, but very powerful, civil digimon to help as well. They are given a rank, (D through SS) based on skill, and are able to access a few perks for being part of their organization. They are all also given a CB like radio (usually an upgrade on their D-vice) and a radio handle to go along with it. Solo digimon are given what is called a D-solo, allowing them the ability to digivolve and such without a partner.

Now, before the digital realm became truly recognized by the real world, the Digi-gods had a lot of work to do, so they found a few capable digimon and basically said, ‘Here, you do this, and here’s the power to do so,’ thusly making those digimon Guardians, powerful digimon given a job by the digi-gods. After the realms came together though, some guardians’ responsibilities became either a moot point or a lot bigger. All the guardians still have their powers, even if their responsibility is moot, so they are still powerful nonetheless.

Now, I’ll introduce my character for everyone to see ^.^

Name: CrystalRenamon (Kyne, please)
Species: Digimon, Crystal subtype renamon (rookie level)
height: 6'1"
weight: 175 lbs.
dislikes: fighting unfair fights, messing up his fur badly
likes: Crystals of any kind, training, and fish (oh god yes fish XD)
Powers: Diamond blades, Diamond cutters, portal control, crystal control, very slight energy control.
partner: none, but carries a D-solo and is a member of the DEC (solo digimon D-vise)

description: Kyne looks in form like a Renamon, save that he is orange with blue highlights instead of yellow and violet. His 'flares' are made of a sky blue crystal that makes up a lot of his body's internal structure as well. he wears a pair of denim shorts and a belt to hold his things and d-solo as he goes around. The mark of guardianship of portals plain on his forhead, as a circle wth 4 almost tangental lines in the same sky blue as his other markings.

Personality: Kyne is a very laid back guy, and quite friendly. If asked, he'll probably help darn near anyone on the street. He was given his guardianship powers by the Digigod of neutrality. his service is to protect and 'guard' the portals of both worlds, but the DEC does most of that, making it nearly moot. he still has the powers, and usees them if he needs to.

Name: Kiku Shirogane
Age: 19
Human: no partner
Basic description: Kiku is quite short at only 5'2. She has short mousey brown hair which is just abover her shoulders in length and can usually be seen kitted out in her dark shorts, top and jacket. And yeah, thats pretty much the only way to describe her. I'll try find my pic :3
Special abilities: nothing
Likes: cooking, having fun, chilling out
Dislikes: burnt cooking, pointless fights, people arguing

(Ok, even with just 2 characters, i think we can get the ball rolling, so i'll do just that. XD )

Kyne stretched, he was almost done with his work for the day at the jewelry store. Being the master gemcutter was a lot harder than anyone thought, enven with his natural talents. "Well, nearly done, and in good time today as well," he said to himself and shaped the last gem quickly and proficeintly. He took the remainder of the several gems he shaped and put them in a sack on his belt, his D-solo next to it. He got up and left, waving to his boss and heading out towards the park to go relax for a bit. He found a bench and sat, leaving his tail dangling out behind him lazily. "Mmmm, haven't found a better place to relax after a day of work yet," he said to himself and put his hands behind his head, leaning back a bit.

Kiku wiped her brow as she slaved away in her kitchen at the local sushi bar. "Just one more dish... just one more dish..." she kept telling herself as she finished the last order. Once done, she finally gave a sigh of relief and started to clear away, so she could get home to rest.
Wiping down the last surface, she grabbed her bag and stashed away some left over sushi in a box for her own meal tonight. Saying goodbye to everyone else in the bar she finally left work.

Kyne had just started to doze off in his seat when his radio spoke up, "Attention all units, Rogue biomerge detected in downtown park, all responding units use caution in securing the area and capturing the wild one!" Kyne sat up and saw the fog forming of a digital field, and took his D-solo from his side and talked into it, "Diamond Razor on the scene, waiting initial contact," he said and stood up, preparing for whatever was coming through, "I really hope it isn't something too big this time," he thought to himself, slightly annoyed.

And it wasn't, but it was mean, and strong. A Growlmon formed in the fog, and immediately started to analyze the area, sniffing out any digimon. the other DEC members had already cleared out any civilians to a safe distance, and kyne stepped towards it, "Hold it right there, under the authority of the DEC, you are under arrest, youhave the right to remain silent and cooperative, if you fight, i have authorization to use lethal force. you have been warned."

The growlmon snorted and yelled out "Pyro Blaster!" and launched a fireball at Kyne. He dodged it quickly and phased out, appearing above it's head, and applying a poweful drop kick to it's snout, forcing it to the ground. it roared in pain and flung him off and towards the edge of the park. "This is gonna be a long night," he thought to himself as he charged the growlmon again.

Kiku gave a yawn as she headed home. Life as a cook often had it stresses and today had ben one of those days. Unaware of the problem within the park, she took to the turning to go through it, knowing a shortcut which would get her home quicker, and more importantly to bed.She didn't seem to take notice of people who were stood in clusters, hurriedly talking amongst themselves about what they had just seen.

The growlmon roared out, "Dragon slash!" and swung one of its blades at kyne as he charged it, and knocked him to the side. It then picked a new scent, he looked over in Kiku's direction, starting to jog that way. "Oh no you don't!" Kyne yelled and ran of behind it, forming his diamond blades from his hands and charging them.

just moments later, Kiku would see the large red Dino digi in front of her, about to snap at her, and just before it could, an orange and blue blur flew across it's face, knocking it away. As the blur went by and hit it, a small device fell from it's side, landing a foot or so from Kiku's feet.

She blinked in firhgt, fallng back and brought her arms up to shied her face from the red dino but also the blue blur. She slowly brought her arms down, seeing the D solo land not far from her. She crawled forward to it, and pied it up, studying it.

[Kynelongtail]

As she studied the D-solo, it started to get warm and glow, and it changed a bit, forming into a Blue D-power, (tamer season D-vice). it cooled back down and wtopped glowing, beeping once, confirming a successful transfer.

Kyne continued to fight the now up again Growlmon. It slashed at him again, and Kyne blocked and deflected it this time, feeling oddly stronger, "Funny, i didn't power up my D-solo," he thought, and using the opening, slashed a large gash across the growlmon's chest. it ocne again roared in pain, and tried to fire ball him. Kyne once again dodged, and appeared above it, and this time took his blades and forced them down into it's skull. It roared one last time as it fragmented, and kyne absorbed it's data.

"Whew, that's that for it," he said as the fog cleared. he looked around and saw Kiku on the ground, holding what seemed to be his D-solo. He walked over to her, kneeling down and offering a hand, "You ok?" he asked her.

[Rocky the Echidna]

"hhuh?" she looked up as the digimon approached her and took its hand with one hand the blue DPower in the her, "oh y-yeah thank you, but..." she loked down at the D-Power, "Ithink I broke your thingy ma jig..."

[Kynelongtail]

"Hmm?" he said and helped her up, looking at the D-power a bit closer, and saw that it was now a D-power, "Oh my, i didn't think i'd live to see the day,"  he said quietly, surprised at it, and looked at her, "No, you didn't break it, We're partners now," he said, still quite surprised.

[Rocky the Echidna]

"o-oh." she replied just as suprised as e was, maybe even more, "thats... a good thin right?"

[Kynelongtail]

"Yeah, it is. I know you've seen other people walking with digimon right? Well, they are partners as well. It's basically like being friends, but more at the same time. With tht, you can help me whenever i have to fight." he said recoering a little from the shock.

"Seen as how we're partners now, may as well introduce myself. I'm kyne, one of the very few crystalrenamons around, and member of the DEC," he paused a moment and sniffed the air, "And you have fish with you! I love fish!" he said, the shock gone, replaced with the appearance of fish in his presence.

[Rocky the Echidna]

She giggled at his sudden enthusiasm for fish, "y-yeah I do" as she opened her bag taking ot the sushi she was keeping her night meal and offered him it, "here, think as it as my gift to you for messing up your thing^^ I'm Kiku"

[Kynelongtail]

he took it with a smile, and opened it up, taking a big whiff of it before starting to eat, "Thanks, and you didn't mess it up, we're together now, for good. Each digimon only has one partner, and you just happen to be mine," he said between mouthfuls, "Want some?" he asked, offering a piece to her.

[Rocky the Echidna]

She laughed, taking a piece and eating it, "alright then long as your ok with it, hehe"

[Kynelongtail]

he laughed as well, "Ofcourse I am every digi dreams of meeting thier partner," he said, his tail wagging happily as he ate. After they finished, "Mmm, cant ever get enough of that," he said and thought, "Hmm, the DEC gonna have a fit, a good one mind you, and the papaerwork, but we'll take care of that tomorrow, it's been a long day it seems for both of us. So, how do we get home?" he asked Kiku.

She smiled, "hehe, I can make you more of that food, but not tonight, I'm a cook . Anyway, follow me for home"

[Kynelongtail]

He smiled, "Alright," said following her home, on the way, he pointed to the jewelry store he worked in, "I work there as master crafter," he said as they passed it.

[Rocky the Echidna]

"oh? you're the one ho makesall those beautiful jewelery?" she asked, her eyes sparkling

[Kynelongtail]

He smiled a bit proudly, "Yeah, the best in town, and probably anywhere. It's a natural talent of mine. I can shape any crystaline object to what I want," he said as the went on, and patted the bag at his side, "I keep some just in case i need a snack or for demonstration. I can eat gemstones for food,"

[Rocky the Echidna]

"heh, eating gemstones, that doesn't sund very appetising, or healthy actually, but if you ike it then sure^^"

[Kynelongtail]

"Heh, well most of my body is actually crystal, so eating them restores me faster than normal food," he said, following her, his tail lazily swishing as he walked.

[Rocky the Echidna]

"ah I understand," she nodded as she walked up the steps to her apartment, taking her keys from her pocket and unlocked the door in, "welcome home^^" she smiled.

[Kynelongtail]

He smiled and walked in behind Kiku, looking around, "Nice place. I'll take the couch for tonight, unless you have an extra bed, or you don't mind sharing one," he said, "I'll pick up my things from the DEC tomorrow after we get done filling out our forms," he finished.
