Background: His parents are obsessed with mysteries, and this is the most mysterious village in the prefecture. the move was inevitable and its finally happened. They moved from a big city.
The alarm went off. The piercing noise stirred Konaa from his wonderful slumber.
Aww man...please tell me it's not..Raising his head, he gazed with sleepy eyes at the clock. Yup, 9:00.
Goddammit, its morning again.Reluctantly, he pulled himself out of bed, rubbing his eyes. His school things were all ready for him by the bed. After a quick shower he got dressed and picked up his backpack. What a pain. At least in the city he lived like two streets away from the school and could afford to sleep in a bit...
On his way out, his mother called to him. "Konaa! If you hear anything about...well, you know, let me know, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah...I'm sure they'll be spilling mysteries of the murder every inch of the way."
Considering the tourism this place got, he wouldn't be surprised. But his mother had touched upon the reason for this change of scenery...She and his father just couldn't resist a mystery. If it was unknown and vague they were hooked. The incredible aura of mystery around this town was more then they could resist, obviously. And thus they dragged him to the middle of nowhere. Not that he cared. He had to wake up early, he had to go to school- this place was essentially the same as the city. The scenery and the people were just unimportant details.
As he walked down the dirt path leading away from his house, it struck him that he had no clue where the school was. Well, first day was going fabulously so far. After a bit of walking he had to conclude that he wasn't going to find it on his own- he didn't care nearly enough to put any effort into locating it. That was when he saw a couple of people-Kenji and Veronika- standing some ways away. He didn't know or care what they were doing, but hey, they might know..
"Hey. You two. Where's the school?"
